One Step at a Time – A Cheekymono Catch-Up

Hello friends,
It’s been a little while, but I’m back – and so is Cheekymono!

Since my last market in 2022 – when I was nine months pregnant and waddling around with prints in hand – life has been full on! In July that year, we welcomed our beautiful boy, Solomon, into the world. My sunshine boy, a real cheeky monkey if ever there was one. And as any parent will know, life with two little ones is a total whirlwind.

Somewhere between the sleepless nights, toddler chaos and building pillow forts, we made another big leap and moved to Folkestone. It’s been a huge change – new home, new childcare, new rhythms, new seaside air – but slowly, we’re finding our feet. And now, so is Cheekymono.
With two young kids and two businesses to support through the move, things have had to slow down a bit – and that’s okay. I’m learning to take things one step at a time, to grow gently, and to keep cheekymono going in a way that fits around real life.
This little business of mine started with a big heart and even bigger dreams – to bring a burst of joy through bold, happy prints and handcrafted treasures, and to give something back along the way. I’m still holding tight to that dream, and I’m so grateful to those of you who have supported me so far – whether you’ve placed an order, visited my stall, likes a social post or simply shared some kind words.
Every bit of encouragement matters more than you know.
Now, from my new base here in Folkestone (a town full of creativity, community and sea air!), I’m gently working away behind the scenes – designing, sourcing, and planning for the future. There’s still so much I want to do. But for now, I’m focusing on small, meaningful steps. The kind that build something sustainable and full of heart.
Back to Market!
I’m delighted to share that I’ll be selling at the Sandgate Primary School Summer Sizzle Fayre this July 11th 2025! It’ll be my first market since 2022, so I’ll be honest — I’m feeling a little nervous. But I’m also so excited to get back out there, meet lovely folk(e)s face-to-face, and share what I’ve been working on behind the scenes.
I’ve got some brand new product designs, cheerful prints, and colourful goodies to bring along — and a whole lot of love packed into every piece. The full collection is now live online and ready to shop, so if you can’t make the fayre (or just fancy a browse from your sofa), you can check them out here: Shop now.
Come say hi, have a scroll, and support this little business however you can. Every kind word, smile, or purchase really does mean the world.
Happy shopping and big love,
Sara x
