5% of every sale supports a childrens charity in Peru
We give back.
At cheekymono, giving back is part of what we do. It’s built into every product, class or event ticket we sell. 5% of our profits go directly to supporting a small but mighty charities doing real work on the ground in Peru.
Choosing the right charity wasn’t easy. I wanted to be sure that the money raised would truly make a difference – that it would reach real people, in real need, in a way that’s honest and trustworthy.
Living here in the UK (with two little monkeys of my own to look after), I can’t just hop on a plane to see it all first-hand. So instead, I spent time researching charities that are registered, transparent, and aligned with cheekymono’s values of fairness, kindness, and opportunity and found Project Peru...
Project Peru
Project Peru is a UK-based charity providing food, shelter, education, and hope for children living in extreme poverty.
Their grassroots work supports a refuge on the outskirts of Lima – offering not just a safe home, but education, nutrition, and care for children who need it most.
So far, cheekymono has helped fund a week's worth of boarding for seven of the children at the refuge, a small but meaningful step.
Looking ahead, I hope to do more than just donate. I’m currently working towards becoming a stockist for Project Peru's beautiful handmade goods, so that I can support their work in a deeper, more sustainable way. By selling their products here in the UK, we can create a regular source of income for the charity and for the communities they support.
This is about long-term impact. Steady support. A future where we all lift each other up.

Giving back starts at home.
While supporting Project Peru remains at the heart of cheekymono, giving back also means caring for the community right here on our doorstep.
Through regular free family yoga sessions, open community events and accessible classes and workshops, we hope to create spaces where children and their grown-ups can connect, move, create and enjoy this wonderful little corner of the world by the sea.
We believe every child deserves to feel seen, supported and encouraged to flourish. Everyone is welcome here, there is no judgement, no assumptions and no expectations, just kindness, inclusion and a shared belief that all children and thier families matter.
Our classes, workshops and events all include supported free tickets, funded by the kindness and generosity of our community opting to buy a 'pay it forward'. So, if cost is a barrier, even temporarily, please get in touch. A number of supported tickets are available with no judgement and no questions asked.
