Hasn’t September flown by? It’s been such a busy month as we roll quickly into October.
On the home front, our biggest little one, Clementine, has gone into Year One and is smashing it — we’re so proud of you! For any children who’ve had the back-to-school wobblies, we’ve loved hearing from your grown-ups that our Peruvian Worry Dolls have been helping to ease little anxieties. There are just a few left in stock (with more coming soon), so if you’d like to tuck one into a school bag, you can shop worry dolls here.

Our littlest, Solomon, had a smoother transition this year, though the worry dolls are still a welcome addition to his nursery bag. It’s totally normal for kids to feel anxious and take time to settle, and we’re glad these little fairtrade treasures are bringing comfort.
And what about this weather?! Where did summer go? Luckily, our bright new hand-painted canvases are here to add some colour and cheer. I’ll be showcasing them — along with lots more — at my upcoming Sip & Shop Pop-Up Event.

🎃 Sip & Shop Pop-Up at Sandgate Deli – Sat 11 Oct 🎃
Come along for an afternoon of fairtrade shopping with seasonal homewares, spooky-season décor, Día de los Muertos folk art, and my new art prints. Adults can enjoy a complimentary Pisco cocktail while little ones get stuck into free Halloween crafts. It’s the perfect way to shop, sip, and soak up the spooky spirit.

Important Update: From 16 October, I’ll be closing my stall at Petticoat Lane Emporium. But don’t worry — you can still shop cheekymono online, and I’ll be holding several shopping events over the coming months so you can see the products in person, starting with the above Sip & Shop event.
If you can’t make the event, don’t worry — you can still shop our Halloween & Día de los Muertos collection online now. Think vibrant skulls, colourful crosses, and bold prints that bring kitsch style and cultural meaning to your home. Perfect for this season’s celebrations.
And yes, Christmas has come early here! I’ve started crafting new festive stock — think pom poms (lots of them), neon accents, and sustainable seaside-inspired decorations. Some pieces are already online, so for those planning ahead, browse the Christmas collection here. More stock will be arriving soon, plus details of a special Christmas shopping event.
Finally, with half term around the corner, I’ll be sharing some fun kids’ craft ideas on the blog.

Thanks as always for your support — it means the world. Here’s to a colourful October filled with creativity, fairtrade finds, and a little spooky fun!
Happy shopping and big love,
Sara x
