Hello lovely Cheekymono community,
I can’t believe we’ve arrived at the end of the year already! December always seems to creep up quickly, but this one feels extra speedy. The Christmas tree is up, the studio is twinkling, and I’m busy putting the final touches on something I’m really excited to share…
🎄 Sandgate Christmas Makers Market — Saturday 13th December
I’m delighted to be part of this cosy Christmas pop-up market, packed with handmade treasures, festive treats and the friendliest group of local Makers. If you’re looking for unique Christmas gifts, this is the perfect place to browse, meet the makers, and enjoy a joyful afternoon of local shopping.

There will be complimentary cookies for the kids and a festive drink for the grown-ups, a little thank you for supporting small businesses during the busiest time of year.
A Personal Update
I also want to share something important. This past month has been a little challenging for me personally, I’ve recently been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. It’s been overwhelming and there have been a lot of appointments, adjustments and a fair bit of emotion… but I’m getting there.
I’ve been deeply touched by the kindness around me, and I want to give a very special mention to Maaike from Original Folk. She has been an absolute star, helping plan the pop-up, organising the Makers, and even stepping in to help set up my products on the day so I can take things at a gentler pace. I’m beyond grateful. Everyone needs a Maaike in their life!
Christmas Gift Guide
Among the medical chaos, I’ve been carving out quiet moments in the studio to work on a little seasonal inspiration. I’ve put together a Christmas Gift Guide featuring some of my favourite Cheekymono pieces — a mix of sustainable, joyful and fair-trade finds. 👉
I hope it sparks some cosy shopping ideas.
