This colourful little retablo is the perfect blend of kitsch, culture, and charm — handmade in Peru and full of traditional folk art flair.
Featuring a vibrant Day of the Dead skeleton (Calavera) strumming a guitar, this decorative box celebrates the bold spirit of Día de los Muertos, a beloved festival honouring life, death, music, and family. Its hand-painted detail, bright colours, and joyful character also make it ideal for Halloween decorations, quirky Christmas displays, or year-round altar or shrine decor.
Retablos are a traditional form of Latin American folk art — and this one brings a playful touch to any homeware collection, seasonal table, or mantel display. Hang it, shelf it, or gift it — it's an eye-catching and meaningful piece with a story to tell.

We try to use recycled packaging for all of our orders so you can expect to receive your item in a pre-used carton or container but don't worry, it will still reach you in perfect condition.
When we can't use a pre-loved box, we'll use recyclable packaging envelopes and paper tape made from 100% recycled fibres.
We encourage you to re-use your packaging either to mail other items or in crafts with your little monkeys - the hours of fun that can be had with a cardboard box are priceless!
