These adorable, handmade 100% Alpaca and Merino fleece booties make the perfect baby shower, christening or layette gift.

The super soft, fluffy upper and soft natural suede sole is so delicate and warm against babies skin. These baby booties are 11cm in length so are suitable for babies around 0-9 months old.

Sewn by skilled artisans whoose painstaking traditions have been passed down from one generation to the next, only the finest Peruvian Huacaya and Suri Alpaca fur has been selected to make these gorgeous baby booties. The fur has been left undyed to leave it's natural character and colour and be kind to baby's delicate skin.

The fur used is from Alpaca that have died of natural causes - from baby Alpacas - or 'cria' as they are known; the younger, weaker animals often perish in the harsh Andean winter. Alpacas can live for 20 years, promising a lifetime of shearing potencial far greater value than a single pelt and so no Alpacas have been killed for the fur used in these booties.

Measurements - 11cm. This item is handmade making each one brilliantly unique, slight variations in size and colour are to be expected.

Composition - Alpaca and merino wool.

Care instructions - Do not wash. Due to the ecological tanning process. We recommend you gently rub the fur with talc and restore the fluffiness with a wire brush, ideally a pet brush if you have one!

We try to use recycled packaging for all of our orders so you can expect to receive your item in a pre-used carton or container but don't worry, it will still reach you in perfect condition.

When we can't use a pre-loved box, we'll use recyclable packaging envelopes and paper tape made from 100% recycled fibres.

We encourage you to re-use your packaging either to mail other items or in crafts with your little monkeys - the hours of fun that can be had with a cardboard box are priceless!
We're sure you'll be happy with your order but should you wish to return it, we accept returns of all un-used, non-personalised prints and products.

Please note that the items need to be unused and returned in their original packaging to be eligble for a refund. Please also note that refunds exclude the cost of delivery and the cost of the return is made by the customer. If you wish to make a return, please contact us and we'll be happy to help.

We are very particular about colour and quality and all products are quality checked before being sent out, however, please be aware that colour appearances on your computer, digital or mobile phone screens can vary slightly.
One of our motivations for setting up Cheekymono was to try and support women and children from our ancestral motherland.

We do this by donating 5% of profits to charities that help support women and their families in Peru.

We also take care when sourcing our clothing and homeware to ensure that the artisans who make our products, usually women, are paid fairly and produce their crafts in good working conditions. We support Fairtrade factories and are against child labour and animal cruelty, working with our suppliers to ensure these practices are not used in the production of our products.
