Inspired by the spiritual importance of animals in Peruvian history, Sara from Cheekymono created this bold, unique design to be visually stunning, rooted in meaning and an empowering focus for little eyes. The condor, cat and snake are symbolic representations of the three stages of Inca life: the condor represents the heavens, the cat the middle world of earth, and the snake represents the underworld. Condors have a connection between the earth and skies, the big cat is the symbol of power and strength and the snake is believed to represent wisdom and knowledge; all qualities Sara tries to ignite in her daughter Clementine. The colours used help to engage young eyes and stimulate visual developement from birth; brights, contrasting patterns and movement are the things newborns like to look at most. And the slogan; 'Stay Wild Child' speaks to the free spirit in all of us.

At Cheekymono we are concerned about plastic pollution. The materials we use to produce your orders have been carefully selected to reduce our impact on the environment whilst still ensuring your orders get to you in perfect condition.

From our sustainably sourced inkjet paper to the recyclable packaging envelopes and cardboard stiffeners and the paper tape made from 100% recycled fibres used to seal our envelopes, we are always taking steps to try and reduce our impact on the environment.
We're sure you'll be happy with your print but should you wish to return it, we accept returns of all un-used, non-personalised prints and products.

Please note that the items need to be unused and returned in their original packaging to be eligble for a refund. We are very particular about colour and quality and all artworks are quality checked before being sent out, however, please be aware that colour appearances on your computer, digital or mobile phone screens can vary slightly.
One of our motivations for setting up Cheekymono was to try and support women and children from our ancestral motherland.

We do this by donating 5% of profits to charities that help support women and their families in Peru.

We also take care when sourcing our clothing and homeware to ensure that the artisans who make our products, usually women, are paid fairly and produce their crafts in good working conditions. We support Fairtrade factories and are against child labour and animal cruelty, working with our suppliers to ensure these practices are not used in the production of our products.
